Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Porsche 718 Cayman is available in five trims: Cayman, Cayman Style Edition, Cayman S, Cayman GTS 4.0, and Cayman GT4 RS. The base Cayman comes standard with 18-inch Boxster wheels, with optional 18-inch Cayman wheels available. The Style Edition features Ruby Star Neo exterior paint with contrasting stripes and 20-inch Carrera S wheels in high-gloss black. Moving up to the Cayman S brings 19-inch Boxster S wheels and larger front air intakes for improved cooling. The GTS 4.0 adds 20-inch 718 Sport wheels in satin black and a sport design front fascia. At the top of the range, the GT4 RS showcases track-focused elements including a carbon fiber hood, fenders, and fixed rear wing.
Engine (Power)
The base Cayman and Style Edition are powered by a 2.0L turbocharged flat-four engine producing 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The engine features a 91.0 mm bore, 76.4 mm stroke, and reaches a maximum speed of 7,500 rpm, delivering 150 PS per liter. The Cayman S steps up to a 2.5L turbocharged flat-four with 350 hp and 309 lb-ft of torque. The GTS 4.0 introduces a 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six engine generating 394 hp and 309 lb-ft of torque. The range-topping GT4 RS features a high-output version of the 4.0L flat-six, producing 493 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission comes standard, with a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) automatic transmission available.
Performance
Performance varies significantly across the lineup. The base Cayman with PDK transmission reaches 60 mph in 4.9 seconds, or 4.7 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package. The manual transmission version takes 5.1 seconds. Top speed for the base model is 170 mph. The Cayman S accelerates to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 177 mph. The GTS 4.0 achieves 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and reaches 182 mph. The GT4 RS delivers the most impressive figures, sprinting to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph. All models feature Porsche Active Suspension Management and Porsche Stability Management systems. The standard high-performance braking system can be upgraded to Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes for enhanced stopping power.
Interior
Standard sports seats with electric adjustment provide comfort and support, with options for 14-way full electric sports seats or 18-way adaptive sports seats Plus, both with memory packages. The 7-inch touchscreen display features Porsche Communication Management with Apple CarPlay integration. An optional Wi-Fi hotspot enhances connectivity. The Sport Chrono Package comes standard on GTS 4.0 and GT4 RS models. Leather and Alcantara upholstery options allow for personalization. Storage capacity includes a 150-liter front trunk and 272-liter rear compartment, totaling 422 liters.
Safety Features
Every 718 Cayman includes comprehensive safety systems including Porsche Stability Management with ABS and traction control. The Porsche Side Impact Protection System incorporates front and side airbags. Advanced driver assistance features include automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and optional adaptive cruise control. Parking maneuvers are simplified with ParkAssist front and rear sensors and a reversing camera. The rigid body structure and optimized crumple zones provide additional protection. A Tie Pressure Monitoring system helps maintain optimal tire performance and safety.
