Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster is available in five trims. The base Boxster features 18-inch alloy wheels and summer performance tires. Additions to the Style Edition include 20-inch 718 Spyder wheels in high gloss black with colored Porsche logos and black sports tailpipes. The Boxster S enhances airflow with larger front air intakes and upgrades to 19-inch Boxster S wheels. Distinctive 20-inch 718 Sport wheels in satin black, SportDesign fascias, and high gloss black accents enhance the GTS 4.0's striking appearance. The Spyder RS features lightweight 20-inch forged wheels and a model-specific rear diffuser for improved aerodynamics. All trims come with a sleek fabric convertible roof and the Porsche Dynamic Light System, which adjusts lighting based on driving conditions.
Engine (Power)
The base Boxster and Style Edition feature a 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four engine with 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. A 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four delivers 350 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque in the Boxster S, while the GTS 4.0 has a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine producing 394 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. The Spyder RS, sharing its engine with the 911 GT3, produces 493 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque, with a redline of 9,000 rpm. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, offering engaging performance, while the optional seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung transmission provides seamless shifts and faster acceleration.
Performance
The base Boxster and Style Edition accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and have a top speed of 171 mph. The Boxster S variant improves this time to 4.2 seconds and 177 mph, while the GTS 4.0 achieves this sprint in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 179 mph. The Spyder RS leads with a 0-to-60 mph time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph. The PDK transmission shaves 0.2 seconds off acceleration times across the lineup. The optional Porsche Active Suspension Management system balances handling and ride comfort. The available Sport Chrono Package adds launch control, dynamic transmission mounts, and adjustable driving modes for enhanced versatility. A mid-engine layout ensures optimal weight distribution and precise handling.
Interior
Leather upholstery and heated sport seats come standard in the base, Style Edition, and Boxster S. The GTS 4.0 adds Race-Tex microsuede accents and a GT Sport steering wheel, while the Spyder RS includes lightweight carbon fiber bucket seats and exclusive badging. Apple CarPlay compatibility and dual-zone climate control are standard across trims. Interior customization options, such as a Black and Bordeaux Red leather combination, provide tailored elegance.
